Bhí siúlóid chuimhneacháin againn ar na mallaibh ar fhlaithiúlacht an Pobal Choctaw nuair a bhronn siad airgead ar mhuintir na hÉireann in 1847, le linn an drochshaol. Tá nasc láidir ag an scoil go stairiúil leis an Phobal Choctaw, Óclahóma, agus Jones' Academy ach go háirithe. Bhí sé deas traidisiúin na siúlóide a athbhunú arís lenár gcairde as SN Glebe, traidisiúin a thosaigh an Máistir Seosamh Mac Suibhne agus é sa scoil.
We had our annual 'Choctaw Commemoration Walk' recently to commemorate the generosity of the Choctaw Nation when they donated money to the Irish people in 1847, during the Great Hunger. Our school have had a long historic link with the Choctaw community in Oklahoma, particularly Jones' Academy. It was lovely to re-embed the tradition of the walk with our friends from Glebe NS ,a tradition started many years ago by our former principal, Master Seosamh Mac Suibhne.
